Sister Augustine’s Artwork
I am from China and am glad to know this will be available in my motherland. I still have family there and it is God’s mercy that we are able to enjoy talking about our faith once more! Thank you so much!
God is the true master of art, the true Creator! He sent the gift of this beautiful soul to inspire another beautiful soul! The world needs more books like this. Thank you, Mr. John!
True friendship is one that inspires all! This is a classic, indeed!
Great memoir! Enjoyed this very much! I read it in a few hours on the plane.
I used to follow John’s cook book work and had no idea what to expect with this. He is a gifted and talented writer. This isn’t just a memoir, it is a well filled with inspirational waters that run deep! I hope they do make a movie out of it! It see it!
Sister reminds me so much of Mother Angelica! God bless her soul!
I read this book and was so touched by the friendship between John and Sister. I wish I had someone in my life like her. What a blessing! I love the pictures of the art work and as a budding artist, I truly appreciate her talent. God bless John for writing this and sharing such a treasure!
I loved this book! I bought a copy through the promotion running last week and enjoyed it thoroughly! It was an easy read, at that!
I think this young man has been blessed with the gift of such a wise mentor. I am grateful that he published his experience. I ordered another copy for my grandson who will appreciate this. He is at seminary and I know he will value the wisdom from “St Gussy”, as I now think of her! God bless you!
Her quote bowl is a timeless treasure! Is it possible to still purchase one? I just love her artwork and would love to buy a “Gussy Special” as you call them.
This book really is like having your own personal angel to guide and direct you! What a great gift from above!
I loved this book! Memoirs are very different from other spiritual books because they come from the heart, which this one did! I only wish I could have met Sister Augustine! What a treasure! Thank you for sharing your journey, John!
Five Years of Heaven is more like A Lifetime of Wisdom! I loved reading this. I don’t want to give any spoil alerts but this book is chock-filled with inspiration and wisdom! There are so many little zingers that stay with you, it is a good book when you are in need of reflection. I actually purchased copies for a few children in my parish who are making their confirmation this year!
