Account Executive-The Organic View

The Role
Account Executive Position is for a candidate who will be responsible for developing new business accounts . He/She will do so predominantly at the client level, with the potential to work with advertising agencies as well. He/she will be responsible for all aspects of the sales process. This includes, prospecting, cold calling and setting follow up appointments with senior level marketing executives at the client level of “qualified prospects.” This person will be expected to provide weekly updates/status reports on his/her progress. Ideally, this candidate will become the Sales Manager and will be responsible for a team of people. You should be as comfortable on the phone to call prospects as you would to call up and order an organic pizza. This job is full time but we are also seeking candidates that are interested in part time as well.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop, grow and maintain client relationships
• Provide ongoing updates on leads
• Maintain client contact information
• Service accounts to maximize customer satisfaction and retention
• Work virtually and manage your own schedule
• NOTE: This job is full time but we are also seeking candidates that are interested in part time as well.
Key responsibilities include:
– Aggressively prospect and cold call on marketing executives with direct clients for new business development
– Strategically target and set up meetings with senior level marketing executives with prospective clients
– Provide weekly updates on the number of prospects, new business meetings and pending sales
– Be responsible for all follow up with his/her prospective client base both before and after the sale occurs
– Ability to sell “conceptually” and not just based on ratings
Experience:
The ideal candidate will have at least 3-4 years of media sales experience ideally with a radio or print background. He/she should specifically have experience working directly with senior marketing executives at the client level.
Requirements include:
– A strong track record of new business development at the client level
– Excellent cold calling skills and track record of setting appointments with senior marketing executives
– Experience in putting together creative marketing solutions for prospective advertisers
– Outstanding execution skills, including the ability to work independently and also within a team environment that prides itself on transparency and collaboration
– Strong computer skills are preferred. Must have social media skills, particularly familiarity with PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
– Knowledge of the organic industry, wildlife preservation and environmental issues preferred.
– Time management, good phone voice, people skills, management skills
Commission:
Sales Commissions per sale range from $100 to $900, with the average monthly commission earned being $3600+. Additional perks include free products and opportunity to attend events and trade shows.
