===Are Toxic Chemicals In Our Environment and Our Home Making Us Sick? 11/4/2014 ===

Why are so many people dying of cancer and other diseases? Are there toxic chemicals to blame? In this segment of The Organic View Radio Show, host, June Stoyer, talks to Alice Shabecoff to discuss her book, Poisoned for Profit: The Toxic Assault on our Children. If you would like to learn what you can do to protect yourself and your children from these toxic assaults, stay tuned! Alice Shabecoff is an advocate who has been working diligently to raise awareness about the dangers of the chemical use in our environment as well as inside our own homes. She educates the public about how these toxic chemicals have impacted our health and what we can do about it. Alice is the author of Poisoned for Profit: The Toxic Assault on our Children, which she co-authored with her husband, Philip. The Shabecoffs reveal that the children of baby boomers—the first to be raised in a truly "toxified" world—have higher rates of birth defects, asthma, cancer, autism and a frightening range of other neurological illnesses from ADHD to mental retardation and other serious chronic illnesses, than previous generations. Bio: Alice Shabecoff is co-author with her husband Philip of Poisoned for Profit: The Toxic Assault on our Children. She is a member of the Board of Directors of Birth Defect Research for Children. She served in the 1970s as executive director of the National Consumers League, the country's oldest consumer organization, and in the 1980s as founder and executive director of the nonprofit Community Information Exchange, a nonprofit information service for the community development sector. As a freelance journalist, Alice's articles focusing on parent and consumer issues have appeared in the New York Times, the Washington Post, and numerous magazines and journals in the United States and overseas.

===Is Industry Playing The Tame Game With Artificial Sweeteners? 11/5/2014===

In this special evening edition of The Organic View, host, June Stoyer and special guest host, aspartame authority, Mary Nash Stoddard will discuss these very issues. Stay tuned. Today’s show is sponsored by Austria’s Finest Naturally Authentic Pumpkin Seeds and Pumpkin Seed Oil from the Steiermark available at OrganicUniverse.com. ===The Neonicotinoid View: This Week's Buzz 11/13/2014===

This week there were two major conference calls created to discuss efforts to help pollinators. One was hosted by Cornell, the other EPA. Did Cornell’s efforts to host a discussion about IPM and pollinators help? Was EPA’s stakeholder’s listening session fruitful? Will these efforts help beekeepers protect honeybees during next year’s pollination? In Canada, there is also quite a stir in Ontario. What is the new controversy surrounding Ontario beekeepers? What is going on with the class action law suit filed by the Ontario Bee Association against Bayer and Syngenta? In this special series called “The Neonicotinoid View”, host June Stoyer and special guest co-host, Colorado beekeeper, Tom Theobald, discuss these issues and will be joined by Tibor Szabo, the incoming President of the Ontario Beekeeper’s Association. Stay tuned! Today’s show is sponsored by Austria’s Finest Naturally Authentic Pumpkin Seeds and Pumpkin Seed Oil from the Steiermark available at OrganicUniverse.com.
