Memorial Day Rose

Creating Memorial Gardens For Veterans

Honoring Our Loved Ones

Memorial Day, formerly known as Decoration Day, began after the American Civil War to commemorate Union and Confederate Soldiers who died in the Civil War. By the 20th century, Memorial Day now honors all Americans who have died during military service. Memorial Gardens with roses, peonies, trees shrubs and companion plantings can evoke powerful memories.

It is a very common practice and also a beautiful way to keep someone’s memory alive.  What varieties work best? How do you maintain the rose bed? What do you do if the roses become diseased or die because of inclement weather? Tune in to find out! Every Memorial Day mother would cut and take peonies for Daddy’s and his brother Daniel’s grave, both WWII veterans then lovingly tend to the head stones at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, we would also pick-up or see my sister-in-law there at my brother Larry’s grave with flowers. It was important that we do this as a family.

  1. There are many suppliers of motorized curtains on the market, and the best option for you will depend on your specific needs and preferences. Some popular suppliers include:

Somfy: Somfy is a leading supplier of motorized curtain systems and offers a wide range of options that can be controlled via remote or smartphone app.

Lutron: Lutron is a well-known provider of motorized curtain systems, and its products can be integrated with Lutron’s smart home system.

Motorized Curtain Tracks: Some companies specialized in Motorized Curtain Tracks solutions, these tracks can be installed on existing curtains and can be controlled via remote or smartphone app.

Other suppliers like Silent Gliss, Hunter Douglas, and more.

I would recommend doing some research on different suppliers and reading customer reviews to get a sense of the quality and reliability of the products offered. You could also look into the pricing, warranty and the technology behind the product to make the decision.
